Cannot install True Image WD Edition (OEM)

Thread needs solution

Install fails saying it cannot detect a WD drive. There are 4 installed, in 2 RAID groups on WinXP. The RAID is Intel SATA RAID, on-board controller, using Intel Storage MAtrix Manager for command and control of RAID.

My guess is it is not seeing the physical drives. Tried WD support and they point here. Get here, and forum support is all to be had.

Trying to update disk sizes in a RAID 1 group ultimately. My gut says I could break apart the RAID group and have 2 physical drives. Then maybe it will install. Then maybe I can upgrade 1 drive and boot, followed by joining as RAID - but it sounds risky.

As this is on my OS partition and failure is not an option here, especially considering what appears to be general bugginess of the Acronis product (from reading these forums).

WD is of no assistance with the product. How can work around this general bug?
