Cannot load OS 7 when active Startup recovery

I got a PC with Intel DG43NB mainboard, SATA HDD and Windows 7 OS.
Whenever I active Startup recovery, after the screen "Press F11 to enter Acronis startup recovery", if there's any ATA devices (DVD-RW driver) or USB devices (External DVD-RW), the PC will restart! If I unplug those devices, it will boot normally!
If I deactive Startup recovery, either plug or unplug those devices, there's no problem.
First time, I think it is the incompatibility between the OS and Acronis, so I upgrade from Acronis True Image home from ver 11 to ver 12 (2010) but the problem still the same!
Could anybody help me?
