Cannot upgrade Seagate DiskWizard to Acronis True Image Home 2011

Thread needs solution

I have upgraded from Seagate DiscWizard with a 40% discount to Acronis True Image Home 2011 some time ago.
Everything was ok.

Now I have reinstalled system and trying to do the same but Acronis Setup ask me about Serial number of previous product! I have no serial number for Seagate DiscWizard as such one is not provided by Seagate.
I have only Serial number for Acronis True Image Home 2011 product and this one is accepted but then another field appears.

I cannot install product.
I cannot get support as this is outdated.
It looks like dead end.

It looks like buying such Acronis upgrade products with discount is waste of money, isn't it?

How can I solve this problem?

You must first install the Seagate DiscWizard Acronis version on your system. You then will be able to install the 2011 upgrade. The 2011 upgrade install will see the installed version of Seagate DiscWizard and perform the upgrade install without asking you for the previous serial number as it is embedded in the Seagate product.

I already have installed Seagate DiskWizard. Still Acronis TI2011 asks me about second serial number.
It looks like there is a BUG in Acronis True Image 2011 and it cannot see Seagate DiskWizard (which I have run already to be sure that it is workable)

The only other thing I can think that may help is to un-install Seagate DiscWizard, reboot, then download and run the True image cleanup utility found here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876 After running the cleanup utility and rebooting, install the Seagate DiscWizard software again and reboot. Then again try the 2011 upgrade.

Well, Seagate, an associate of Acronis... tells me I can not install Discwizard until I uninstall True Image. I don't know how to uninstall it or what damage it might do to backups etc...AND there is NO help from support unless I pay them for the problem they have created?

To remove Acronis True Image, run the cleanup utility found at link #4 inside my signature below.
Be sure and read the instructions.

There is no reason or benefit tol install DiskWizard overtop of TrueImage Home.

If Seagate installed, user qualifies for an upgrade price to TrueImage rather than having to pay the full price standalone release.

My problem is similar to the posts in this thread.
I purchased an upgrade from Seagate Discwizard to Acronis True Image 2015 and cannot successfully activate the product because it asks me to provide an older serial number for a previous version of True Image. Acronis/Cleverbridge should refund the purchase to my VISA with a credit to my account since I do not have time to waste on this matter.

Felix,
The Seagatge DiscWizard must be physically installed on your compuuter when you install True Image.
What you are describing is errors by TrueImage when the Seagate version is not installed.

I have thrre seagate drives configured in a RAID5 array and one USB seagate drive on a Windows 10 desktop. DiscWizard refused to install. SeaTools calls the RAID5 array serial number as RAID5-1. How do I tell these software that I have an all Seagate hard drive system.

Seagate support suggested that I can upgrade to the True Image 2016. But I do not feel like paying the full price instead of the $29 upgrade cost. Are there any official Acronis work around?
