Can't Acronis True Image Home 2012 create a bootable medium under Windows 7?

I have been running Acronis True Image Home 2012 with Windows 7 for some time and only now discovered it would be good to create a new bootable medium because my elder one has files of 2006 from a former version on it.
When trying to create one, I get the message that a certain file cannot be created or that the CD is not empty (which it IS).
I guess the reason for this is that it is not possible for 2012 to create the rescue medium under Windows 7? Do I have to upgrade to 2014 to create a rescue CD?
