Can't activate program
Downloaded the latest version, uninstalled old, restarted computer. Ran setup, when asked for serial number (copied 64 characters) it then asks for another set of numbers. Can't get past this to activate program from what appears to be the trial version (states only 30 days remain). I have an account from which I downloaded the latest version. What gives? Any help?

Actually, it's normally the serial number for the current version that gets entered first and then TI will ask you to enter the one for the old version if it detects that it's an upgrade.
If you don't remember your old serial number, it will be in your Acronis account if you registered it.

Yes, I have an upgrade version, registered the upgrade, I have an account. Suggestions for downloading newer versions allow for either uninstalling older version or, installing over older version. I had no choice but, since I replaced the computer, to do a freash install from my registered product--TI home. I do not have the older serial number and it is not listed in my account. Two days ago I sent an e-mail to Support re: this issue but have not heard from them to date. Why is it such a problem to activate the program when I have a registered copy? Seems like a useless exercise to have to endure.
Any suggestions?

Does anyone know why you can't initiate a Live Chat session or a web contact with Acronis Support?
Completing the info form and sending it to Acronis never is sent.

I just rebuilt my ssyem and reinstalled everything (including Disk Director Suite 10). The problem is that I can't for the life of me figure out how to reactivate the program. It's maddening to have paid for the full version yet get only the trial version. The CD I ordered is not here yet. Does that solve the problem (if and when it gets here)? HELP!!!

I do not have a older version, so I am unable to activate the program. I have an account with a registered number. I purchased and downloaded the program and am not able to use it because i haven't a old version number to put in.

I am in the exact same boat as Jim Harbough is in. Late last year I downloaded the Trueimage Home 2009 trial version. I liked it, so I bought it via online purchase and download. The problem is that I searched all of my emails three times just to verify that I received only ONE serial number (the serial number for the upgrade from trial to full version). So, like Jim, I can't reinstall my paid version after rebuilding my hard drive from scratch. Now that is a royal PITA. Guess what? The only install versions I have in my Download directory are the installers for versions 9615 (the trial version which I upgraded to paid version) and the 9796 upgrade (which I downloaded from the Acronis web site last summer. I tried running both installers and both report (even though I have uninstalled the software) that I am upgrading from a previous version and that I have to enter a serial number for the previous version which of course I never was given.
Update: I did the online chat thing and the Acronis rep resolved my issue. Thanks Acronis!

HELP Please!
I sent an email to ye guys this morn. With all the years of IT and application experience I have, I'm beginning to feel quite the fool now. Besides the fact that I deleted the partition on my 500GB ext HD, After buying an data recovery program that only recovers data not file structure or partitions for 50 buckeroos. Now I've purchased The disk director suite 10 & I can't activate the product.
I've gone into MY Account and downloaded the Build: #2239 73.17MB file & serials Txt file. I uninstalled the demo, rebooted, and now have downloaded the file 3 times & installed at least 4 times and each time I start the program I get the demo version. I can find no function within the file menu / toolbars that provides a method to activate the product.
I've tried searching the UG for the word activate and can only find a reference for the Choose OS software which shared the SH_TE out of me when I installed it, lost stability of the boot-up & finally after pressing Esc or F6 so many times I got the Boot screen for my Windows OS. I've since uninstalled the Choose OS app and have now have received the install screen 4 times, where I've choose to uninstall everytime. This whole effort is beginning to turn into a nightmare to the tune of all my data & €80 so far.

You may need to use the Acronis Clean Up Utility to completely remove DD.

From where I sit (1:00 AM in Ireland) I have to agree with Terry Metcalf from "6137: Disk Director 10 big joke." If I hadn't read his comments in this forum suggesting the use of Partition Wizard (free & legal for home use),I'd still be sitting here with "0" data retrieved from my 500GB disk I accidentally deleted the partition to. It's 2 days since I purchased Disk director 10. Right from the beginning I had problems after I uninstalled the Demo to install the full version I purchased.
I sent in a query using your Contact Acronis Technical Support system: [Case 00412850] How do I activate my Disk Director Suite 10 software [ ref:00D3Zcb.50057XkOM:ref ]
...to which you replied: We are sending you this letter to assure you that your message has been received, and a new case 00412850 was created. Please do not submit your request more than once; multiple submissions generate extra paperwork that simply slows down response times.
I then posted on the "3376: Can't activate program" forum on 2009-11-24. Below is excerpt from that post.

Mudcrab is the only person who has paid any attention as he posted almost immediately the following: "Wayne, You may need to use the Acronis Clean Up Utility to completely remove DD." You guys should be paying him for all the support he provides your customers.
Well the cleanup tool didn't work either and I followed it up with the manual proceedure to be sure to be sure. Still all I could get is the Demo. This is on a brand new Tosh A300 w freshly installed version of Vista Business edition less than a week ago.
I've been up until 2 AM my time for the last 2 days and this is the 3rd night since I started this quest. Trying to get someone at Acronis to help me.
After all of that I felt like even a bigger fool than my first post when I was able to recover the entire disk in less than 10 min. time using Partition Wizard with "0" problems rebooted my machine and all is good. But to be honest I feel like I've been had.

I have downloaded the latest version off Acronis True Image Home 2010 version 2010.6053 and the register of Acronis but the program will still not make a back up my C drive and comes with the message: Target drive is running out of space
it can not fit that Acronis Support can not solve this problem I have seen in the forum that I am not the only one having this problem
