Can't create Windows 7 restore CD Disk?

Purchased a new Dell PC and loaded Acronis True Image Home 12 prior to creating a set of W7 restore CD's. First problem I needed to restore the W7 backup, which I did. Then I was able to press the "create W7 restore disk" but it fails on both identical laptops. It may be Acronis or it may be that it didn't come with a DVD drive and it doesn't like the USB drive. Any ideas would be appreciated.
