Can't do file backup to network drive

I'm using windows 7 and am trying to create a task that backs up file folders to a network thumb drive. The thumb drive is set as a shared resource. The pc can see the drive and even copy files to it, but when I try to create an Acronis task it asks for credentials and even when I enter them correctly it won't let me create the task.

How can this be fixed?
