Thread needs solution

Then I go to clone disk/backup my current drive to this Acronis Zone but in the Save To/Browse option to define where I want it saved the AZ does not show up anywhere. This is not inutiitve at all. Todd,
Remember, with Acrons software, the clone is at disk level. So a clone becomes a second disk and is the same size as the old disk. A clone will not fit in the secure zone not matter its size.

If you wish to make a duplicate copy of your drive, this is called an image or a backup image(or archive) in TrueImage Home terminology. The backup will be a normal file with an .tib extension but readable only by TrueImageHome. Size of an archive will be approximately 65-70% of your used space--unless the disk contents are all audio or video and then the size will be larger as these type files are already compressed. If you make a full disk backup to include all your partitions, this *.tib file can be used to recover your old disk or create a new disk containing all the same data.

If you make the secure zone several times larger than your used space, then you can make a backup image of your entire disk and it can be stored inside the secure zone. However, be aware that if your disk fails, then your secure zone is useless and not accessible. If you wish to use the secure zone, then it is also suggested that your store additioonal backups on other type media such as an external drive.
