Cant see my C Drive

Thread needs solution

Hi folks.

Just installed my legacy ATI 11.0 (with updates) on my new Win 7 box. I want to clone my 250M SSD which is my C drive onto a 500M standard hard disc as a mirror backup. However, when I run the disc clone function Acronis does not see my C: drive as a source; it does see all other drives. I made sure to give Acronis all admin rights and it does support SSD, so what am I missing? Thanks for any help.

p.s - I did name my drives so that there can't be doubt based on drive letters.

p.p.s. - When I attempt a "backup" as opposed to clone, ATI still does not see my C drive.

more: Uninstalled/reinstalled to make sure it wasn't a corrupt installation - results are the same, no C: drive!!

If you are truly using the old version 11 of several years ago, this version does not support Windows 7.

Could you be using the 2011 version which does support Win 7.

Best to boot from the TI Recovery Cd when performing the clone or if using the restore procedure.

Thanks for the info. For whatever reason I assumed it was win7 compatible, I'll review my options. Thanks again.

If you boot from the TI version 11 CD and if the CD sees all your partitions, you can still try to restore the system using your existing 11 software but after the restore, you may need to run the Windows 7 installation/recovery CD and run the Startup Repair feature.

This link may be of help about version 10-prior to yours. This is just an FYI in case it helps.
