The case of the phantom scheduled backup
Running the latest version of Acronis true image home 2011 on windows 7 64 bit.
In the last few months it's decided to do a unscheduled backup the task fails or completes very quickly. However the backup isn't listed anywhere. Not on the home screen not in the scheduler and not in the windows scheduler either.
If it completes the backup the backup isn't in the location it should be the nas storage.
The actual weekly backup runs without a hitch but where has this phantom backup come from and why Acronis is launching it?

It was an upgrade and was done very long time ago and has been working fine until recently.
I would have to upgrade again from 2010 if I removed the program.
Now somewhere I should be able to see what's in the Acronis scheduler and remove it from there.

Hello all,
Thank you for posting and thank you for your kind assistance Pat.
Jonathan, let me provide you with additional assistance. There is no need to uninstall the program and if you need to get rid of ghost tasks please use this workaround:
- Download and run the Acronis Scheduler 461 installation:
https://kb.acronis.com/sites/default/files/content/2005/12/1518/acronis…
- Download and run Acronis Scheduler Manager:
http://download.acronis.com/support/schedmgr.exe
- Issue the following command in Acronis Scheduler Manager:
task zap
- Start the software and re-schedule existing tasks.
There is no need to install ATIH2010 and upgrade to ATIH2011. Simply install ATIH2011 and you will be prompted for ATIH2010 serial number after you have entered the one for ATIH2011.
Just in case, you can take a look at this KB article for additional information about ATIH2011.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.
