change backup default location

Thread needs solution

When i make a backup, is the D partition / folder My Backups /
Can i change forever this default location to D partition, without this folder My Backups ?!
And one more question : if i change the path to D, when i create the partition image backup, it looks like this :
my_backup_date_etc
How can i get ride of those underlines ??
If the backup goes directly to the folder My Backups, there is no underlines, but if i change the path, there are always underlines between the words :)
Help me please.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Eduard,
You can select another "forever" destination if you wish. Underscores are not required in windows paths. You should be able to delete them if you like as standard naming conventions are allowed.

Hello Eduard,

Thank you for posting your question.

I want to thank shadowsports for assisting you.

By default the folder "My Backups" is created by the product to make it easier to find your backups. However, you can change this location and name if you wish manually.

In my attached screenshots, you will see, that you can browse the new location and it is possible to choose a root of your drive as backup destination. Also you can easily create new folders with the names you wish.

Please find more information about in our Online Help.

Let me know if you need additional help please.

Thank you.

How can i change the destination, as default ?

I mean, when i backup my C partition, it should be the D partition, as the default destination path, not "D / my backups"
Only D

edvard,

User cannot change the "default" backup location but the user does NOT have to use the "default" location.
User can choose to place the backup wherever you want. Check out figure 6, 7, and 8 at this link

As shown in figure 7, choose the "browse" option and choose the location "you" want. If you want the target location to be "D:\" , then do not choose the "My Backups" folder but you must choose the "browse" option in order to choose your own location. Unfortunately, this procedure must be used for each backup task.

Mixing the backups from different tasks has caused issues for many so having each task point to an empty folder is what seems to work best.
