Clean re-install of 2010 and 2011 upgrade

Thread needs solution

Hi all.
I have reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 and am re-building a laptop that used to have Acronis 2011 (via an upgrade) running on it.

What do I download to re-install 2011. Do I have to install 2010 first then re-apply the upgrade or can I go straight to a 2011 download ?
Point me to a guide if there is one... meantime I will also start looking rhough the hlep etc..

Many thanks
Kev.

PS .
I Acronis use it for 'disk image backups only.
The idea being that I can flip back to earlier 'image' that is sound, should anything fail.
Last week laptop went into wierd mode... and became unusable...

So I use RECOVERY for the first time ever. What a disaster....

Of the 6 different images I have backed up in last year or so, all but 1 was corrupt. Acronis couldnt read them.  They are on a Buffalo external drive... The One that appeared to work did not correct whatever was wrong since the laptop was still screwed. ie. 20 mins to boot. Some looping of disk access, etc.  However, Formatting disk and rebuilding has fixed it... but wasted a day and I am re-installing EVERYTHING.

The only reason I bought Acronis was to avoid this very scenario.... !!!
Will give it one more chance but...... !! arrrrggghhh !!!!

Hello Kev,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely assist you with resolving this issue.

There is no need to install ATIH 2010, you can download the latest build of ATIH 2011 and install it. If you own an upgrade key for ATIH 2011 the program will prompt you to provide you the serial number for ATIH2010.

I am terribly sorry about the issue with corrupt backups. We have a troubleshooting guide here and I can recommend to place the backups to a different drive and check if they are corrupt or not. Can you also send me this report so that I can check your partition structure?

If you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.
