Clonage d'une seule partition

Thread needs solution

I am french !

Hello,

I just bought the TRUE IMAGE 2013 and PLUS PACK.
My drive is 500 GB, my system partition (C) is 100 GB and the other partition (D) is 400 GB
I would like to clone only the C partition (system) of my disk to be able to locate another disk.
I do not function as TRUE IMAGE does not offer me to clone the entire disk.
Is it possible?
Thank you.
Mike.

No.

Do a Backup followed by Restore.

Michel,

Just to expand a little on what Tuttle said.

Acronis condsider a clone as a complete copy of one disk directly to another. With True Image you cannot clone part of a disk.

What you need to do is to image your complete disk to a spare drive or possibly DVD's and then just recover your 'C' partition.

If your other disk is in a different PC, you can use the Plus Pack to add in the new drivers that you will need.

Make sure that you make an Acronis recovery CD and that you check that it works. If you decide to cloen the complete disk, boot from the recovery environment, cloning an OS drive should not be performed in Windows.

If you have a new PC that uses UEFI or Windows 8 is your OS, make sure you download this patch and install it before making the recovery CD.

explain me what is plus pack...
how he works

Francois,

The Plus Pack is a separate purchase which allows primarily a recovery CD to be made using WinPe and the ability to add in new motherboard/system drivers if restoring an imaging to a new computer. It also enables True Image to work with Dynamic Disks.

You need to install True Image 2013 first, then install the Plus Pack and then make the recovery CD.
