Clone Failure

Thread needs solution

My newly downloaded Acronis True Image WD Edition is intended to help me install a new 2 TB WD2001FASS drive and clone my existing 0.640 TB to the new drive. Installation and recognition went easily. I cannot clone my old C:\\ to the new drive. It completes the source copy operation, however 5-6 seconds into the destination cloning, I receive this splash:

"Error - Failed to move the selected data. Make sure that your new hard drive is not smaller than your old one and your partitions do not contain errors. You can check for the errors and correct them using a special utility."

1) The destination drive is 2 TB, the source drive is 0.640 TB.
2) The destination drive completed chkdsk.exe with no errors recorded.

A) It has something to do with my inability to modify the computer at startup.
B) It has something to do with my inability to modify the new HD and/or its partitions.
C) Or it is something else.

Windows 7 Professional 64, i7 860, 12 GB memory

Please help. Thank you.

Your best chance of success is

1. Remove the master source disk and place it in an alternate location--such as an external enclosure or other location.
2. Install the blank unallocated target in its intended boot position
3. Boot from the TrueImage Rescue CD and execute the clone procedure.
4. After cloning, shutdown and disconnect the source drive and then
boot with only the new larger drive installed.

If I am not mistaken, the WD version does not support Windows 7. There has been several recent postings about the WD version. Perhaps you will want to seach prior postings.

Also, be sure and check the source disk for errors.
