Clone Resize Ignored

Thread needs solution

ATI 2015, build 5531.

Source HD: 1TB, 2 PRI partitions, plus 1 system reserved partition, win 7.
Dest HD: 1TB uninitialized.

The C: partition on my system was getting full, so I decided to expand it, taking 100GB from the 3rd partition. I thought the ATI clone ("manual") was the best way to do this, so I went through the options and reduced the 3rd partition by 100GB (space before) and increased the 2nd partition by the same amount. I left the reserved partition (100MB) alone. Everything looked OK when I started the clone, but afterwards the clone was identical to the source disk. As I was using ATI on a CD boot disk, I had left the source HD in-place and put the new HD in a USB3 docking station (great value at £15 from novotech, by the way), rather than swap locations. After the cloning procedure had completed, I removed the source HD and installed the clone.

Fortunately I had Acronis Disk Director on-hand and now that I had a working clone, I was able to adjust the partitions in-place with ADD. I'm not planning to repeat the exercise, but thought it best to report the issue here. I suppose I might have done something silly along the way (story of my life!), but I don't think so. Well, not this time..
