Cloned image BSOD's

Thread needs solution

I need to move my Windows 7 Pro (32) system over to a new drive. This should be easy with Acronis - right? Nope.
I first tried to boot off the bootable CD I created. The Acronis Trueimage program refused to see the new hard drive. The new hard drive shows up fine in the BIOS and also in Windows. So, there's nothing wrong there.
So, I gave up using the boot CD and ran the "Clone" tool in the Acronis suite. This did see the new hard drive and cloned my C: drive just fine. No errors.
I removed the original HD and installed the newly cloned one on the same SATA cable and booted windows. All was fine for about 15 minutes when the computer froze for a few seconds and the BSOD'ed and rebooted. This happens continually about every 15 minutes. The confusing thing is the event log error is different each time. The 1st one was an issue with the Acronis Sync service, The 2nd one was a drive controller error I think the 3rd was something with bluetooth?

So much for the clone tool.

Any ideas?
The new drive is an SSD drive, if that matters.

Issue solved - kind of.
Used the backup/restore feature instead of the clone tool. The image created doing that seems to be solid so far. No BSOD's.
So, I guess the clone tool is not to be trusted?

Your mileage will vary. A backup and restore process provides more control anyway with less risk on the source disk.
