Cloning ext4 partitions

I understand that Disk Director and True Image 2010 don't support the ext4 file system (http://kb.acronis.com/content/6045), but which functionality is limited by lack of "support"? I assume that I couldn't/shouldn't resize an ext4 partition, but couldn't I at least clone an ext4 partition to another disk?
