Cloning to Revodrive 350

Thread needs solution

I just installed the Revodrive 350. The bios sees this add-on storage as it boots up and I installed the drivers for Windows and created and formatted a new simple volume. That works great.

Now what I want to do is clone my system disk to the Revodrive. I have the Acronis Image 2013 that came with my WD drives. I start Acronis and set the source & destination drive and it ask me to restart. My system restarts, the bios finds the Revodrive and then Acronis starts UEFI loader... and there it stops.

Is there a problem with the Revodrive 350 or the Acronis 2013 software? Would the Acronis Image 2014 work better?

Yes, older versions like 2013 definitely had issues supporting revodrives. I didn't notice anything in this forum about 2014.

I think what you need is a WinPE boot disk with the appropriate driver for the Revodrive and the ATI media add on. An upgrade to TI 2014 Premium would be required in order to achieve a WinPE boot disk. You might also wish to try MustangPE as it offers X64 support.

Thanks for the reply. I have decided I am overdue to due a another clean install of my system. Not exactly how I planned to spend my weekend. :-(
