Comments of each backup file in chain change to comments in latest backup file.

I'm confused ...why do the comments on my base (full backup)  file keep getting updated to the comments on the latest differential backup in the chain? I obviously want to maintain each comment as it was  to document the state of the system at each  restore point. What am I doing wrong?

If you're using TI 11 or earlier, you're not doing anything wrong and the comments aren't actually being changed. TI is just displaying the comments from the last backup in the chain. If you want to see the comments for the previous backups, you'll need to start a restore, select the image and then you can select the individual image files and see the comments for each one.

If you're using TI 2009, you should be able to see the comments for each backup file by clicking on it in Manage and Restore or by right-clicking and selecting Details.
