Computer won't sleep

Thread needs solution

I upgraded to 2014 and now the computer won't go into sleep. I didn't make the connection until I just upgraded the second computer and now it won't go into sleep. It brings back memories of the 2013 upgrade which caused shutdown problems that were finally fixed by an update.

Anyone else having the sleep problem or have any suggestions?

You mght check if your power scheme has been changed.

No, the power scheme was not changed. I've noticed that even if I physically put the computer in Sleep mode, it will come back on shortly and I have all the settings like wake on LAN turned off.

Experiment with another power setting. You should have several. This is just a guess on my part.

Same thing here. After installing Acronis 2014 the computer won't go to sleep. Worked great with 2013. Checked power settings and nothing is changed.
Does not go to sleep mode and doesn't shut down any longer after backup. wow I love this product....I just hope restore works if I ever need it...

Hi there

may be you could open a cmd window (as admin) and performe "powercfg -energy"
this will create a report and ist program/processes that prevent a sleep of the system

FWIW, I had been using the high performance power setting. Acronis tech support suggested uninstalling and reinstalling. After thinking about it, I decided to change the power performance setting back to balanced and that solved the problem.

Thanks for the update on the cure.
