Correct Procedure for Moving Backups Between Hard Drives?

Thread needs solution

I'm running True Image 2013. I have my backups stored on a local hard drive at F:\Backups\Acronis and I want to move them to G:\Backups\Acronis.

Obviously I could just move the files using Windows Explorer but then XML file(s) that are maintained by True Image wouldn't get updated, nor would the related scheduled backup jobs that create new backups.

So. . .is there a documented procedure for moving backup archives (.tib), so that all metadata is updated too, and the backup job gets updated?

Thank you

In the Backup and Recovery tab, right click on the backup you wish to move, select "more" then "move".

I want to backup my image file. Any problem with copying it to another hard drive from within Windows?

No, but be sure to validate it afterwards to be sure no corruption has taken place.
