Corrupted Backup file ... not corrupted
Old backups:
When backing up I received an error message that the backup file is corrupt (see Backing up.PNG). But when I went to the Event List (Program event list.png), there was no indication of a bad event.
The backup continued and successfully completed.
New Backup
Defined a new backup for which there was no existing tib file. Obtained the same error msg.
Is there a way to get rid of this spurious error message?

Considering the age of this thread perhaps I should have created a new one but I thought that posting to the original would give more perspective to such a long-running banner error... or perhaps the banner is correct and I really do have a problem.
I am having the exact same problem with Acronis True Image Home 2011. Every time I run backup I get the banner message saying that the backup file is corrupted. If it is simply a left over message then why isn't it reset by subsequent successful backup operations? I can't simply accept on faith that the banner message is always wrong. What about the one time that it is right and I ignore it only to find that I can't restore my system should I need to?
If this indeed is just a left-over message then does it also mean that I did have a prior backup that resulted in a corrupt backup file? With something as critical a backup how can we simply hope that the last backup was ok? Yes, verify says that the backup is ok but how insane is it to blindly believe one level of reporting over another?
