Creating a clone of a system drive with Acronis True Image 2014 on a Windows 8.1 System
I am attempting to create a clone of my partitioned system drive running Windows 8.1 with True Image 2014. I have the most recent version (Build 6673) of True Image. After installing and starting the software I have chosen my source and target drives, and then selected "proceed". I then receive a pop-up window which tells me that I must restart to continue. After doing so the system shuts down and begins to reboot. It gets to a black screen in quick order, and then just hangs there doing nothing. I've waited at least 10 minutes, but still no activity. My system drive is running with UEFI active. Can anybody help me figure out why the program will not run, and how I can remedy the situation? Thanks

i have exactly the same problem and conditions as you Travis... the only thing i have extra, is an error message on that black reboot screen... i have disabled "secure boot" in the BIOS as suggested by Bob and that still does not work/rectify the problem..
the error message is as follows :
***
Starting Acronis UEFI Loader...
Runtime error:
Error 0x10d00e: Failed to find.
I Line info: 0xec492506f42e4db
I $module: bootwiz_efia64

any help would be greatly appreciated !

I have the same problem as John Hess. I amusing windows 8.1. Can anyone help. I called Acronis tech. help number and they told me for $150.00 they would fix it. The program is very new and I am disappointed with their answer. I get complete help from programs like AutoCAD, Autopipe. Bluebonnet. Etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

dont know why the changed the way the program works... i started with the 2010 which was great... i feel for what i got in the 2014 version it was a waste of money....i am quite "computer literate" and after many attempts to rectify, i eventually gave up and went and bought a super product which does all i need and wanted from acronis and more... it is called stellar phoenix windows data recovery 6... am very pleased with it so far... i bought the tech version but the pro version would be adequate for most tasks i think. hope this helps.
