Creating rescue media fails with error 0x18000B
As you can the see on the screen-shot attached, rescue media builder fails to create the media.
The recommended re-installation did not help.
The file media builder does not find exist on disk:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\MediaBuilderHome\ti_boot.so (2.175.751 bytes)
How to solve this issue?

Another alternative is to write to an iso file instead of to an optical disk and then use some other optical disk burner to burn the iso to optical disk. I like Imgburn (it's free, flexible, and if you don't like to mess with all the settings, the defaults work very nicely for most situations).

Sure, the workaround will do. But if you want ATI and DD on one media, this will not work.
Now I removed the Media Builder folder and did as you pointed out, but the problem persists.
c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\MediaBuilderHome\ti_boot.so exists, by the way.

Based on the file size stated in your initial posting, it would appear that your ti_boot.so file didn't get updated correctly during installation. For TIH2012 properly installed under Win7x64, the file size for \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\MediaBuilderHome\ti_boot.so should be 2,168,721 bytes.
Try removing (or renaming) the existing ti_boot.so file and then re-running the application installer. Run as administrator and select the repair option.

Note to Acronis: create a script that disables all services (even if reboot is required) to allow trouble shooting. I am working with QA on a beta build and would greatly appreciate such a tool.

you can select services and startup programs to disable easily with msconfig.exe

Nope - I deleted the folder and did a repair: the file size is again 2,175,751 bytes.

And you're still seeing the same media builder error as before? That's very strange. Assuming we're both using TIH2012 build 5545, the only possible explanation I can think of for the installed file discrepancy is that I have the TIH Plus Pack installed on my set-up. Either that or your installation package download got corrupted somehow. My media builder seems to be working okay.

Interesting. That could certainly account for the file size discrepancy. But to avoid any possible misunderstanding, my set-up has the TIH Plus Pack installed and its media builder seems to work fine whether I run it as a standalone operation or as a selection within TIH. In fact, my media builder options include both TIH 2012 with Plus Pack and Disk Director v11 which I also have installed under three OSes, and I've successfully created and tested an ISO with it that includes both applications.
Maybe it's the TIH media builder set-up WITHOUT the Plus Pack that actually has a problem?

I think the problem seems to be more prevalent amongst those who have had a previous version of TIH installed with Plus Pack.

Very possibly, Colin. Can't really confirm as I wiped the slate completely clean prior to installing the 2012 version.

Hello all,
Thank you for your responses.
Richard, Colin is correct, the issue was caused by Plus Pack of the 2011 version.
Thank you.

That's what I had, and it broke just as described here, so I can confirm - for me it was the 2011 plus pack. The repairing trick didn't work for me either. I'll just download the bootable ISO image (250+ MB) and then wait for Acronis to get this Rescue Media Builder bug fixed.
