Custom Backup Schemes Missing from Backup Scheme Drop down list

When I save (save as) a custom backup scheme it is missing from the backup scheme drop down list. When I attempt to recreate it the program message says the custom backup already exists and will not let me over write it. the manual says custom backup schemes can be over written and show up on the backup scheme list. I have re-installed the program with no help. 2015 build 6525
