Dates on backed up files not changing

I have been backing up a Lightroom 3 catalogue file using online backup. Although the backup works when I visit the backed up file it shows an old date (i.e. one from a previous version). So far as I can tell it is the new version (the file size looks right) but having the wrong date seems weird.

Has anyone else noted this behaviour?
