Deciding between True Image Home and Backup and Recovery

Thread needs solution

I am having trouble determining the substantive differences between these two products. I need to be able to back up in many locations/different media (like for example over SFTP) with maximum feature set. (I am hoping for the lowest resource profile possible - I'd rather have a lighter program running in the background than a heavier one, and preferably would like to not have it on at all unless it is scheduled to do something.) I can't tell if both programs support this, or what the difference is between them, exactly. Can someone compare these two programs for me and also address the concerns I have here?

YOu have to consider how you intend to use the prodcut. ATI, a home-user product, is for a single PC so you need multiple licenses to use it to backup multiple machines -- of course there is a family pack which is 3-pc license.

B&R, a business oriented family of products, has a server version that might be what you are interested in.

There is a product selection wizard on this page of the acrnis website:

Licensing model is the same - one installation=one license. Backing up network shares doesn't count.

At least in userguide, there is no mention of SFTP in TI Home.
Support options are different : http://www.acronis.com/support/advantage.html (30 days included vs 1 year, phone option is only for PPI in consumer products)
