Deleting five part version taking over 8 hours with no way to cancel

Thread needs solution

I used the delete function of ATIH2012 to delete a 5 part archive made up of one 250GB full backups and four (approx) 1GB incrementals to start a backup at 6am this morning and it is still running almost 8 hours later.. with no way to cancel that I can see! It is over a gigabit network, but that shouldn't slow down deleting. The problem is that it seems to be consolidating even though I told it to delete the whole group (it has created a file on the share and is writing to it like crazy). I have used this function once before without issue, but the program has been updated since then.

I usually keep an old backup around.. the version that I am deleting now is between the old archive that I am keeping and the new archives. Surely Acronis is not arrogant enough to try to fill in that hole in the timeline that I am making, is it?

And WHERE THE HECK IS THE CANCEL BUTTON?

Thanks y'all,
Rog

I backup to a NAS - pulling out the network cable is an effective way to cancel a backup!

Deleting backups seems to hang, or at least be very slow. I tend to kill Acronis when that happens - just about every time I try to delete a backup!
