Deleting taks not possible

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm using True Image Home 10 and had a "No such script" error.
According to hints in the KB, I tried to delete the entries of the task list using schedmgr.exe.

Works fine for a moment - but when rebooting, the list reappears and so does the "No such script" error.

What could I do to get definitely rid of old task list entries?
The list of planned taks in TI GUI is empty at all times - so there is nothing to delete.

Any ideas?

You could try deleting all the scripts physically. You may find something left after you think you have deleted them. Move what you find to one side and then see if that resolves the problem.

You do not say which OS you are using but if I remember correctly:

For Win7 see C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts (true for ATIH2011 included here for completeness)
For XP see C:\Documents and Settings\all Users\Appdata\acronis\trueimage\scripts"

It is a similar location for Vista but I cannot remember the exact path but given the above I am sure you will find it. You may have to make hidden folders visible.

Sometimes a corrupt log file can be the culprit you can move the contents of that directory sideways and try again. The logs are in the same location as the scripts

Click on my signature index link below (or Grover's Guiides along the left margin) and select item 4-N within the index.

This will direct you to a procedure by Acronis whereby you Zap the bad ones plus install a new updated scheduler.
