Disk Backup Source empty & No hard drive found

Thread needs solution

Hi,

i am using Acronis True Image Home 2012 v7133.
With Windows 7 64bit I have some issues with this program:

* Disk Backup shows an empty Source area
* Most Tools & Utilities show an error: "Acronis True Image Home has not found any hard disk drive." Event code: 0x000101F4+0x000A01FD

According to http://kb.acronis.com/content/1515 I have checked that file/foler backup mode detects my OS disk. But my hard disk does not contain only one partition. It is a dual boot system with two Windows 7 partitions, one of them encrypted by Bitlocker. The layout can be seen in the screenshot.

I also tried to install the SnapAPI 685 (https://kb.acronis.com/sites/default/files/content/2005/12/1515/snapapi…), which did not solve the problems.

I did a fresh install of the OS so no "old" Acronis product was installed before.

Could someone give me a hint, what went wrong?

Thanks
Snorre

Hi all,

as there seems to be no solution the next step is to try to install True Image Home 2013.

Hi Snorre,
I am having the same problem with trying to replace my laptop HD with an SSD. After reading many such postings I am planning to contact the drive manuf. and see what they think. I have read that one fellow shipped his drive back to the manuf, so they could upgrade the firmware.

Good luck,

me again Snorre,
So, as I understand it, your computer/OS sees the drive, but Acronis doesn't? If yes, your problem is different from mine, in that my computer can't see the new drive.

I also was caught with this problem; I solved it by shutting down the computer and replaced the Sata cable connected to the mother board and the internat hard disk; with the new cable I was back to normal operation with the dual boot WinXp Win 7.
Good luck

I am running Acronis 10 w/XP. Need to put in a bigger HD on a removable tray. HD is seen in BIOS but shows empty in Acronis . Need to know how to set jumpers. New drive is currently on CS.
