Disk Cloning with ATIH2010

I just got a new Win 7 Pro 64-bit computer that was ordered with ATIH2010 and two identical 600GB drives that are easily removable from slots on the face of the computer. One will be the system disk, the other will be a clone and kept in a different location.

The only way I intend to use ATIH is to periodically do a manual "Clone Disk" utility operation initiated from the ATIH application, not the bootable media.

I know very little about ATIH or it's competitors. Some on this forum have suggested that they do not like the way ATIH does this basic task. What, if any, are the issues with this? Alternatively, Win 7 Pro allows me to make a system image, but that is not a disk clone and requires a disk build to recover.

Hello... my 2c. First i suggest that you "browse" the TI manual (PDF). I do imaging of my OS and clone my "Data" HD. If i were you i would setup the 2nd HD as a "Data" and keep all you OS "Images" on it along with all your stuff. Keep the OS drive as clean as possible. Do an Image before you try anything new and backup at the very least weekly. I don't use TI scheduler , but run my backups manually. Regards Fred
