Disk Recovery dialogue box Version drop down is empty
Hello, I am using Acronis True Image 2014 to perform monthly Full Backups and 5 days-per-week Incrementals onto my QNAP-412 NAS Drive (all connected at 1GBit ethernet). A typical full backup comprises of [System Reserved] drive ~ 58MB; [OS Drive (C:)] ~ 78GB.
Both the monthly full backups and the week day incrementals run quickly and efficiently (approx 90 minutes and under 10 minutes respectively). The TIB files on the NAS drive all look sound.
I now have around 15 full backups and when including incrementals, I get around 270 days of backup.
Whenever I try to perform any of the following operations, I don't seem to get anywhere:
1) When I go to Windows Explorer > Folder > Properties > Acronis Recovery, the tab just shows "Searching for versions..." but never comes up with any good. The message never disappear (well, still there after several hours). Backup NAS Drive activity only occurs for a few minutes. [ref image 1]
2) From Acronis True Image 2014 if I go to Recover, the "Disk Recovery box" comes up but the "Version" drop down is empty. Source and Destination are empty also [ref image 2]
3) When using "Tools and Utilities > Image Mounting > Mount image", I get a list of backups to mount, select the last full backup and I get a little True Image box saying "Assigning letters to partitions".
Any thoughts why ATI2014 will not be progressing with any of the above. I concerns me that if I need to rely on a backup, I might not be able to use it.
Thanks, Chris

Thanks. I'm using Sophos Anti-Virus and Windows Firewall on Windows 8.1.
I could temporarily disable both while performing the action to see if I get a different experience.
I'll report back my findings.
