Does "acronis backup archive explorer" show under unknown in device manager on your PC too?

Thread needs solution

I have recently changed my OS to a Win 7 64 bit and when i checked in device manager i found a headig unknown. On expanding this i found listed "acronis backup archive explorer" If i remember correctly this was listed under Acronis when I was working with win 7 (32 bit)

Can someone running a 64 bit win 7 OS confirm this for me please?

Thanks

It should be listed under Acronis devices or at least it is on my 64 for 2011 TIH.

Right click on it in device mgr and either delete or uninstall.

Restart the TrueImage download install program and choose install.
Choose the Repair option.

I have the same problem, did already what GroverH wrote but this didn´t help.

Any other solutions?

uninstall ati and see if the item is still there. If so, delete it in device manager. YOu might try running the ati cleanup utility too.

Then try reinstalling with security and other nonmicrosoft servces and all statrtup programs disabled until the install is complete.

I have Acronis True Image Home 2012:
Under Device manager, I see:
1) Acronis Backup Archive Explorer -- WITH EXCLAMATION MARK
2) Acronis True Image Backup Archive Explorer
3) Acronis Virtual Disk Bus

Is this normal? What can I do to make "1)" go away?

Right click on the listing with the exclamation mark and choose uninstall (if uninstall listed otherwise choose delete)

The other two are normal.

If additional problems, rerun the 2012 install program and choose the repair option which will do a restore overtop your existing install of Acronis.
