Does Acronis neutralize Win 7 native backup utility?
I'm new to Acronis and impressed by the functionality relative to the native Win 7 backup utility. That said, I used to use the native Win 7 backup and had it running on a regular schedule. Now that I switched to Acronis, I'm concerned that both Acronis *AND* Win 7 backup are running. Is this a valid concern? Or did Acronis somehow neutralize the Win 7 backup schedule I had in place prior to Acronis install (I hope this is the case).
If Acronis did not stop the native Win 7 backup, how can I do that? I believe Acronis has completely taken over the Win 7 backup control panel.

Pat, it looks from your suggestion that I would be turning off Acronis, which I do not wish to do. I want to make sure that Acronis is turned on and that Windows 7 backup is turned off.

Understood. But you have to turn off the integration, then you can turn off the backup. Or you can turn off the windows backup task in Task Scheduler, and turn off the Backup Service in services.msc

Will I be able to turn Acronis back on after I turn it off? Or will I have to reinstall Acronis to get back to the windows integration view?

YOu can turn it back on, through the same process.

Sorry to sound dumb, but "through the same process" means what, exactly? Could you be a bit more explicit?

No problem. When you want to restore ATI in the control panel, launch ATI, go to Help, settings, integrate true image home into windows, check the boxes you want there.

Thanks, I think I got it figured out with your help. Appreciate it. Peace.
