Does TIH 2012 build 6154 adversely affect USB system?

Thread needs solution

After installing Acronis TrueImage 2012 (as build 6131) I noticed my mouse pointer became jerky and my keyboard started missing keystrokes. Currently however this doesn't seem to be happening. Has there been an issue of compatibility with the USB system? If so, is it fully resolved in build 6154 which I am currently using? Is there any chance it may be affecting other USB devices? Yesterday I noticed access to a USB memory stick was running horribly slowly. Could this be related to TIH 2012?
Any assistance appreciated!

Many users report issues with USB disks and devices. First try to stop the non-stop backup service (run services.msc, right click on the service, choose properties, change the startup option to manual, then stop the service.)

If this doesn't fix it, uninstall ATI and see if that resolves the USB issues.

Hi Pat L-

Thanks for your advice- I stopped the nonstop backup service some days ago- the mouse and keyboard work smoothly now but I shall keep my eye on other USB devices- particularly that memory stick- and see how they get on. If continuing probs then yes, uninstal may be the way to go.

I'll come back here to spread the word/ see if a fix is available if uninstallation turns out to be necessary.

All the best,

MarkH

I feel ATIH 2012 does affect the USB thumb drive access even with the fix I was provided. I had some minor USB mouse and keybaord issues with the Linux recovery disc but the Windows PE version works great.

I tried all of the fixes and no help and as I do not use the nonstop backup feature of ATIH 2012, I have the stopped the "Acronis Nonstop Backup Service" and changed the startup type to manual rather than automatic. All my USB sticks and card readers work 100% until a fix is provided.
