Does true image compress data which has been uploaded to cloud?

Hi,
I backuped some *.jpg files (about 160Gb) to Cloud. And several days after it I see this size.
But after several weeks past I checked Cloud status and I saw that this folder has ~4Gb size on Cloud.
Do I correctly undrestand that the data has been compressed in Cloud archive?
