Double Acronis Icons On Windows 10 System Tray

Thread needs solution

On the lower Tray of Windows 10 next to the clock in Classic View, I have two Acronis blue A icons side by side. Looking at Task Manager I have running in the background, Acronis Scheduler 2, Acronis Scheduler Helper, Acronis True Image Monitor, and True Image Sync Agent Services. Any Idea why I might have two Icons and how to get rid of one of them. Seems wierd to have two. Programs and features shows only one copy of Acronis True image installed. Otherwise Acronis is working just like it should.

Thanks for any info

When I have seen this type of issue with duplicate icons I normally just move my mouse over each icon and one of them then disappears!  If this doesn't help for you, then try either logging out of Windows or restarting the computer to see if that clears the duplicate icon.

Thank you Steve for your reply. Unfortunately I tried those things but did not work. When Have time may uninstall Acronis and reinstall but not in a rush as two icons next to each other does not seem to be causing any problems; just wierd

As a follow-up to my own question. I un-installed the program then reinstalled it. Also, I changed from having two seperate schedules, that is one for weekly full back-ups and one for dailey incremental to One weekly backups with differentials. Now I have only one Icon showing but then only when the program is running a back-up. Go Figgure. Not worth woring about anymore as all is working fine.

That is the behavior I always have.  Icon only shows up when a backup is in progress.  I was told in another thread this is the way it is designed.  I'd prefer to see it there all the time though but have it change color or something when a backup was actually running - I've submitted the feedback - please do so too if you think it's noteworthy for your use too.

Thank you Bobbo_3C0X1 I will provide feedback in support of your recomendations. I think those enhancements would be beneficial. I am OK though as long as it is working and I know what it is doing. Reliable backups have saved me in the past. I have not yet seen any differntial files in my backup location just my initial full first backup right after I installed. Hopefully they will start after the first "scheduled" full backup this sunday.
