Drive Image restore one SSD to Another

Thread needs solution

I have a ssd (a 120 GB Corsair, if it makes any difference) with my operating system on it (my boot drive, of course) and I have just bought a new ssd. I would like to use the new one as my boot drive. Can I just restore the drive image made of the old ssd to the new drive?

Thanks,
Abudeduf

Yes you can. Make sure you create a disk and partition backup that includes all partitions (including any unname/hidden partition) in the backup.

If your SSD is aligned, your restored image will be aligned. If your SSD is not aligned, let us know.

Thanks, Pat. That's what I needed to know. My SSD is aligned, by the way, and I always do a disk backup.
