Drive letters backward. Search for real drive fails.

Thread needs solution

When Using the RESCUE DISK and browsing for backup archive, drive letter "D" is where "E" should be. If I select the proper archive in spite of the wrong drive letter, the search for the archive fails. Using the RESCUE DISK is useless.
I have checked "disk management and it is OK, it is OK in disk properties and I created a new RESCUE DISK.. Where else should I look?

William,

The normal drive letters you know and use are from Windows. The CD is Linux based so it does not assign the same drive letters. This is normal. It is not an error. This is just the difference between how two different languages work.

If necessary, use Windows Explorer and search for *.tib on the drives and find your backup files. Then boot to the CD and browse up or down the directory tree and drives and find your files. They are there and once you do it once, you will not have any trouble browsing. Most likely, you know the name of your store storage folder which makes finding the files much easier.
