Drive not found while backup after reboot

Thread needs solution

System: Quad-Core, Intel, MB: Gigabyte, RAM 4 GB, OS: Windows 7 64Bit, Acronis True image 2010
DriveC: SATA III / 600/sec Drive D: SATA II 300/sec
I´ve installed True Image after a new system builtup of my pc with Windows7 64 Bit.
The System is working fine and I created a backupfile of drive C:, like I often did in the past.
When I want to do the recovery of that backup-file, the system reboots (as usual). When TrueImage starts, drive C: is not found in the system, only drive d: is present (there the backup file is saved).

Does anybody have an idea, where the problem is? Is it maybe the problem of True Image an the OS or is it maybe the hardware. Does True Image possibly don´t work with hard disk drives of the SATA III type?

Thanks for your help, regards,

Hello Ulf,

Thank you very much for posting and I would like to welcome you to our forum. I will do my best to assist you with this.

Acronis True Image 2010 Home supports Sata 3, but there may be an issue with the Sata controller for which our bootable media does not have the proper drivers.

Would it be possible for you to send me a private message with this report, so that I can check what type of controller you are running and then we can proceed with the investigation.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
