Due to updating ATIH 2011 (1st june release), ATIH keep crashing

Thread needs solution

hi,

I decided to remove atih properly with utility tool located here : http://kb.acronis.com/content/14871 , as update (i had the the 9 dec 2010 version) failed again and again (atih keeps crashing without any error message)..see the last previous post ..

But windows 7 home family premium (up to date) crashed at booting.
Windows automatically launch a restore process, which run properly.
But know, i still have atih and don't dare anymore to run the cleanup tool utility !

What do you advise (manually: which particular files to be deleted) for to start from scratch a new install ?

Tks a lot....

What is the crash you get at booting?

Yes , i got a crash from windows when i run the removal tool.

But before that, when i updated ATIH 2011 , it keep crashing like that : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnTU9ajLaVo

EDIT  :  I  have just re-installed (once again) the last release 1st june : no way, still crashing without any error message. Uninstall it properly with the removal tool (devcon.exe enabled / Advise : do not erased registry keys as the tutorial say, causing windows boot crash) , so no trace of acronis, then ?

And then re-installed it once more : no way again....(see screenshot)

Tks for your comments

Hi Moz, are you using BitLocker? Your case looks similar to somebody else's.

Could you post a screenshot of your disk management console?

Tks for your reply..

No, i don't use bitlocker.

See the  enclosed screenshot ...

In fact, to sump up, i am unable to install ATIH anymore, after uninstalled it (even with the removal tool)..

I don't know what could cause this. You will need Acronis support to look at your installation Log to see what fails.

Tks for your comments...

Where could i find the acronis log, please ?

What kind of support ? I haven't paid any sign up fees for that (for the timebeing)..

ok i succeed in re-installing ATIH, in fact as i said in a previous post :

EDIT : i found this to remove ATIH 2011 : http://kb.acronis.com/content/14871 but be carefull when using it as it crashed my boot sector when i run it (fortunately, W7 restore system rescue it smoothly)

I confirm, don't touch to registry keys as Acronis advise you to do so (with os windows7 sp1 home premium family) because , windows restore automatically the system (boot system + Atih !) so afterwards, if you want to make a new installation, atih keep crashing when you launch it.

Hope this help..
