E-Mail notification of task completions

Thread needs solution

There is a facility with in True Image to send a E-Mail to a recipient when a Task has completed. I can not set up this option using GMail.com or Outlook.com properly. During the setup process i Enter the correct information and Click the Send Test E-mail button and I get a message saying "Sending..." then nothing. It just sits there.
I can set the capability to send an E-Mail to an old Account (Embarqmail.com) with no problem. The difference appears to be in validation but I have tried every conceivable combinations of options ,ports SSL/TLS etc possible.
Could you please give me instructions on how to set up E-Mail Notifications for Gmail.com and/or Outlook.com?
I would prefer Outlook.com since I am abandoning Gmail.
The settings I tried using work just fine for my Outlook Accounts.

I am using Windows 7 at the latest update level. Microsoft Office 2007 at latest level.
My original TrueImage was at 11 Build 6942 (8101). I upgraded to Level 2013 trial version in hopes this plus a couple of problems were resolved.

I'm having same issue. All settings look correct and have tried just about all of them nothing seems to work.

I didn't answer because I don't understand the question. Outlook is not an e-mail location, it is simply a viewer to access e-mail accounts. Gmail is both a location and a web viewer.

The issue is often one of the outgoing mail server and port. Many (most?) ISPs block port 25 for outgoing mail other than through their own server. If you use port 25 for SMTP outgoing mail through a server other than at your ISP, it may be blocked and so the outgoing mail will fail to be sent. The common solution is to choose a different port for SMTP, an alternate port offered by the provider of the mail server you're using. I'm not sure if this is the issue in your case, but it is something to be aware of.

I figured this problem out. At least on Outlook.com. INcidentially Tuttle OUTLOOK.COM is a valid E-Mail web site set up my Microsoft about a year ago.

For True Image 2013 at least,
Edit the file backup options.
Select "notifications" tab
click "show extended settings"
Check "Send e-mail notifications about the operation state
Enter your Email address
Server settings "smtp:live.com Port 587 Encription TLS (where Live.com is my Outlook server identification)
Enter your current email address and password
no need to "log on to incoming mail server"
Click "Send test message" to confirm.

Of course server name and possibly the port may change depending on your server connection,
