E00070020
Hallo ,
i have a poblem with an operation of restoring image.
I made an image file , save it into a Compact Flash and after i have tried to restore the image on another PC (the same type of the original PC where i have created the image);
On the newer PC i have installed Acronis True Image 2011 and when i tried to restore the image i have an error : E00070020 ("Archivio danneggiato", archive damaged in English );
i think that the image file is good, because i can see all the folder and files if i browse the .tib file;
Any idea to help me ????
Thanks in advance

Validate is an option in the Acronis software. See below.
Quote from ATI 2011 help file"
"Validating backups
The validation procedure checks whether you will be able to recover data from a particular backup version, so when you select for validation on the time line…
a full backup version, the program validates the full backup version only.
a differential backup version, the program validates the initial full backup version and the selected differential backup version.
an incremental backup version, the program validates the initial full backup, the selected incremental backup version, and the whole chain (if any) of backup versions to the selected incremental backup version. If the chain contains one or more differential backup versions, the program validates (in addition to the initial full backup version and the selected incremental backup version) only the most recent differential backup version in the chain and all subsequent incremental backup versions (if any) between the differential backup version and the selected incremental backup version.
This information can be helpful, for example, when you find out that a backup comprising a full backup version and a chain of incremental ones is corrupted. To troubleshoot the backup, do as follows. First of all validate the full backup version by selecting it on the time line, right-clicking and choosing Validate in the shortcut menu. If it is damaged, all the backup chain will be useless. When it is not damaged, proceed to validating incremental backup versions starting from the oldest, until you find the culprit. All incremental backup versions made after the corrupted one will be unusable, but you will be able to recover the data at least from the previous backup versions.
To validate an entire backup:
Select the backup to validate, click Operations and select Validate backup. If the selected backup is password-protected, Acronis True Image Home 2011 will ask for the password in a dialog box.
After you enter the correct password the program will start the validation procedure.
When the validation is complete, you will see the result in the line below the backup's box. You can cancel validation by clicking Cancel."

I check the image file with the Validate Option and the system give me the error "Archivio danneggiato" (Damaged archive in english); in this case can i make something to restore myimage or not ????
I made more test :
1) I ran the "Validate" operation on the file with tib extension located into the original Compact Flash;
the operation terminated successfully.
2) After this I have copied the file with tib extension into a USB key.
3) When i ran the "Validate" operation again the system give me an error : ""Operation with partition 0-0 was terminated. The archive is corrupted"

Hello all,
Thank you for posting and your generous assistance.
Marco, I will do my best to help you.
Such errors indicate that the backup is corrupt. The corruption could be caused by file system errors for example or a memory issue. We usually recommend to run checkdisk with the /r parameter on the hard drive that was backed up and recreate the backup.
I would also recommend this troubleshooting guide in case you are still having this issue.
If you need additional help, please let me know.
Thank you.

If the archive is corrupt then I dont believe there is any way to fix this.
So run chkdsk /r on your hard disks to ensure that they are okay. Then create a new backup, validate this then try a restore.
This should fix your problem. Let us all know if you were successful.
