What build are you all using? If 6514, did this also occur with build 5551?
What error messages or entries in the True Image log do you get?
Does it make any difference if Outlook has been opened (even if now closed) or never opened before the task is run?

Thanks for the reply Colin B
The build is 6514.( This is the only version I have ever used.
A copy of the failed backup log is attached as a word file. Also I have attached a copy of thre backup settings as a word file.
The backup faled both when Outlook 2013 had never been opened since restarting my computer and also failed after opening and closing Outlook.
Is the Email backup compatible with Win 8 and Outlook 2013

@Barry et al
This problem has been ongoing since TIH 2012. There appears to be no one fix for the problem, so below are things that worked for others, your value may vary.
First a work-around.
Make a standard files and folders backup task that is pointed directly to the PST,OST or individaul mailbox folders on your system.
Possible fixes.
1. Run a repair install of TI 2013.
2. Deselect Calendar and Contact Categories - this got things working for a number of people.
3. Make a new task, delete the failing one.
4. In conjunction with #3 above, reinstall Outlook/Live Mail (rename existing PST file so that current info is not lost prior to reinstallation and then import old database). Try making a backup before importing the old database.
5. Rename and place in a different folder the PST/OST file from within LiveMail/Outlook.
6. Delete the current PST folder and have Outlook/Live Mail remake it - least favourable fix as obviously you'll lose all your data.
7. Make sure there are no invalid characters in the PST file name or lurking in any mailbox names or email addresses/contacts. Whilst Windows shouldn't allow invalid characters, (such as beginning files with / or ' or spaces) it has been known for these things to happen and Windows to ignore what it should be flagging as an error.
