Error (0x40007) while trying to backup a network drive

Thread needs solution

Hello
I am using Acronis True Image 10 Home (latest built) to backup data from a local disc to a USB HD. This worked well.
Now I moved the local data to a network drive and want it to backup from there.

Starting the backup will give me the error: Fehler beim Öffnen der Datei. (0x40007) Tag = 0xF35F747B3B21FAC3 (0x803F7) Tag = 0xBA19E88DC5FE9ECA

I have no idea what is blocking because the data are exactly the same as on the local drive before.
I connectet on different ways to my network drive but got always the same error.

any help appreciated

Chris

Hello Christian!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here!

Unfortunately due to the lack of information it is hard to indetify the exact cause, but I would suggest you to try the following:

  1. Go to Start -> Run and there type cmd
Issue in the opened window the following command:
    chkdsk /r /f
    and reboot the machine
  2. Update SnapAPI drivers from the links I've sent you via PM.

This should resolve the issue.

I would like to also notify you that Acronis True Image Home 10 is an outdated product, and it's not developed and not supported anymore. I would suggest you to test our latest version Acronis True Image Home 2010. You can find details information regarding its functionality in the User's Guide.

Should you like the version you can upgrade to the latets version. It has a lot of new features added and fully supported.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.
