Error 8007000B during Win 10 Update after removing TI

Thread needs solution

I have removed TI 2015 with removal tool. Update from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 stopped with error 800700B immediately after download.

It happened the second time.

Without removing TI the installation proceeds, but update failed short before finishing the update.

Hello Andreas,

The 8007000B error code is a Windows Update error and unlikely to be associated with ATIH 2015, especially if you have used the Acronis Cleanup Tool and restarted the system afterwards.

One of the ways to try to resolve this would be to rename the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and force Windows Update to rebuild this.
Note: You will need to Stop the Windows Update Service before attempting to rename the folder. Type Service.msc to open the Service management console.

An alternative method of upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 instead of doing this via Windows Update, is to use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to download and install the upgrade.
