Error messages during install

Thread needs solution

I purchased a 2014 update online. The download went fine. However during the update process, I got the following error message: C:\msi\325cfa.rbt not available. I re-tried the install using the download file. During the second attempt of the install I received the following error message: C:\config.msi\730daa.rbt. What do I need to get 2014 installed? I do have 2013 True Image installed and it is working fine.

Noble, while upgrading over previous install from 2013 to 2014 works for some people, for others it does not. Try uninstalling 2013. Then use TIH Cleanup Utility found at http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876 then reinstall and see if that works for you. If not, contact Acronis right away. You generally have 30 days to get support on install issues.

I do have a concern about uninstalling 2013 which is working fine. I do not want to lose my program if 2014 doesn't install. What are my options if 2014 doesn't install correctly? Can I recover and reinstall 2013?

All things being equal, yes you can just reinstall.

It sounds from your description that either the installer file is corrupted or for some reason your system has locked the files that need to be replaced.

I would double check the CRC number just to make sure that your installer file is OK.
