Error trying to get an activation code for True Image 2013

Thread needs solution

I first tried to activate the product on the computer on which it's installed; however, my company's firewall and/or proxy appears to prevent the activation, per the "Failed to connect to the Acronis activation server" message. Therefore, I an using another computer that has an Ethernet connection without a firewall/proxy. After pasting in a copy of the Serial Number (from About True Image) into the Installation Code field and then selecting the "Get activation code" button, I receive "Error! The submitted installation ID is wrong.". I have tried with and without spaces before-and-after the dashes between the eight blocks of alpha-numberic characters. I successfully registered the product using the same Serial Number (from About True Image). I only have 1 day remaining to activate this product, so hopefully someone can help. Thanks.

You would need to generate the "Installation Code" on the machine that can not be activated online. The serial number can not be used in the "Installation Code" field on the machine connected to the internet.

On the system that can not connect to the activation server, you should be able to choose "activate on another machine". Once you generate the "Installation Code" on the first system, you would then input it into the second system and select "Get Activation Code". You then would input the "Activation Code" you receive into the first system and proceed to "Activate" it using the code generated from the second machine.
