Error when trying to delete differential backup - True Image 2014

Thread needs solution

I have different backup tasks for pictures, videos, and user documents. For each backup task I use full backup after say 5 differential backups. Once in a while I bring up the recover tab and delete the differential backups which are no longer needed since I have full backups following those. This has worked well over the last year... until this week. I tried this on the user document task and received the following error message "Acronis True Image Home as Stopped working". This forces me to exit Acronis entirely. The error message dialog box is attached.

This error appears for any differential backup in this backup set only. This process of deleting differential backups works fine for my pictures or videos so I think there is an issue with this backup task only. That said, when I verify the backup task it shows no errors.

Attached is also a snapshot from file explorer that shows a new backup being created when I'm forced to exit True Image. A backup file is created with a long name that looks like a registry key added to my normal backup name - User_Docs_diff_b7_s2_v1_2F6AD145-0734-4C4C-8A07-BD28A114CC48_full_b1_s1_v1.tib.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm using True Image 2014 running on Windows 8.

The program has become confused as on the last two backups showing a v1-2 name indiction.
My suggestion is to stop using your existing backup task and create a new task but set it up for automtic cleanup so manual deletion not necessary.
Use this scheme as an example except use your settings of 5 diff or any reasonable number of your choosing.

GH13. Create Custom Differential Backup Scheme. 2 Diff, Keep 2 chains. The 2-2 is an example only with user choice for whatever number of chains to be retained best fits the individual needs. GH5. How to delete 2014 backup files using Acronis Backup 'Explorer'
