Error while parsing script file

Thread needs solution

Only because I wanted to report another problem that I am having do I now know that my last backup failed. How long this has been going on, I don't know because TIH2011 is not notifying me when it receives an error! How am I supposed to look into problems when it doesn't tell me it has one?

I am getting the error, "Error while parsing script file". No idea what this means, however, it didn't occur until 8:18 this morning, which is probably exactly the time I brought it up to look into the other problem (I'll post separately for that). actually, after looking at my backups, it appears to have backed up up fine last night. It's dated 3/29 at 12:45, which sounds right. So, I'm not sure why it's reporting that the backup failed.

Any ideas?

Jesse,

First relaunch the ATI installer, and choose repair. See if this fiex the installation.

If not, under tools, export your backup settings, uninstall ATI, use the 2011 home cleanup utility, reboot, reinstall and import your backup settings back.

I ran the installer, ran repair, and that didn't do the trick. I don't want to have to go through all that other mess to try to fix this. The message only seems to come up when double-click on the Icon anyway. As soon as I run the program, it shows me my backups and there is a brand new entry in there stating the "script error" just a few seconds ago. The backups seem to be working just fine. I'll just put up with it, I guess.

Jesse,

I wouldn't have the peace of mind you have! Make sure your backups are validated.

Try the uninstall with the cleanup tool. It will take you 10' to go through this.
